ABOUT THE MIDLAND INSTITUTE OF MINING ENGINEERS

The Midland Institute of Mining Engineers (MIMinE) celebrated its 150th year in 2007 and has a current membership of 1158 members in the UK and overseas. MIMinE members are all also members of Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3).

The Institute has a Council of some 27 members who willingly give some of their time to pursue our aims and objectives on behalf of the membership. The MIMinE Council have planned a full and diverse programme of technical meetings to be held throughout the period of October 2009 to June 2010.  Our AGM follows the traditional midsummer break prior to the first General Meeting of the season in October.

Our technical meetings continue to be interspersed with occasions of a more social nature and opportunities for networking, such as the Dinner Dance which will be held in April and the Annual Golf Tournament held in June.

Current details of events, times, dates and venues can be found on the MEETINGS page and all members will be advised in advance of the meetings.
